If you’re looking for the perfect Instagram backdrop, the Dallas Arboretum will not disappoint. With pumpkins lining the ground and walkways, the arboretum is sure to get you in the fall spirit. If you’re really feeling festive, bring along a pumpkin spice latte to keep you warm as you walk around the grounds.

And if you go on October 30th or 31st, you’ll be able to enjoy their Halloweekend event filled with trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating, a petting zoo, and live music.

Visit a Haunted House

Dallas is full of haunted houses that will leave you sleeping with the lights on for weeks afterward. And one of those nightmare-inducing haunted houses is Dark Hour! Dark Hour has been featured on Buzzfeed, the Dallas Observer, and USA Today, so you know they mean business. If you’re a haunted house junkie, then this is your place to go! And a piece of advice – maybe bring an extra pair of pants for after you exit the haunted house.

The Dallas Farmers Market

The Dallas Farmers market is always a great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday morning. Check out some of the seasonal produce and products and take pride in knowing you are purchasing from local vendors! And if you are looking for some festive pumpkins to decorate your dorm or apartment, then the farmer’s market has got you. They have a great pumpkin patch that will definitely provide you with just the right size and shape pumpkin you are looking for.

Go for a Hike
