The Caroline M. Jones Memorial Scholarship was established as an endowed scholarship honoring Miss Caroline M. Jones, a staff member who served SMU for over 30 years. Miss. Jones served under three Deans during her time at SMU. The winner of this scholarship will receive a $10,000 to be used toward tuition, fees, room and board. The award will be issued over the course of one year; half awarded in fall 2024 and the remainder in spring 2025*.
Entrepreneur and Southern Methodist alumnus Brooks Thostenson founded Taos Bakes, a granola company based in Taos and Questa, New Mexico. Before he created a granola powerhouse, he was just a student attending a study abroad program in Taos, New Mexico, through SMU’s partnered program.
