Interested in politics? The Center for Presidential History at SMU, the SMU Meadows Division of Corporate Communication & Public Affairs (CCPA) presents a three-part virtual lecture series on the 2020 election: Politics After Dark: The Campaign for President in the Digital Era of COVID-19. Over the course of the month, the lectures will progress, each of the three focusing on a particular aspect of the 2020 election.
Part One: Demagogue for President: Making America Great Again and the Evangelical Political Worldview
The first event is at 9 pm tonight, October 5 with a lecture featuring presentations from Dr. Sam (Stephanie A.) Martin, associate professor of political communication in the SMU CCPA Division, and Jennifer Mercieca, Ph.D., associate professor of rhetoric and public affairs at Texas A&M University. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session with listeners.
