The Dallas Observer seeks to hire an intern to work for its food and drink section, covering Dallas’ restaurant industry. This is a paid and remote position.
1. Describe Internship
This is expected to be a remote position, lasting at most 16 weeks, with work to be completed by the end of 2020. Pay is $150 a week (or an hourly rate of $12.50).
You’ll be working with Observer Food Editor Taylor Adams, an SMU Journalism School alum. The scope of work is mainly reporting and writing, but if you are interested in learning more about story budgets, editing, or other newsroom work, Taylor will try to help you reach your goals.
You won’t have to work in the office. Taylor will work with you via phone or email, or potentially in Zoom meetings.
