The Social Media Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of social media strategies for their clients as part of the overall marketing and communication efforts. They are responsible for ensuring consistency in voice throughout digital spaces, cultivating an active presence in the social media space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background leading social media efforts, combined with a thirst for innovation and passion for work.


  • Develop and implement social media and web content strategy, coordinating with client stakeholders to ensure effectiveness in meeting client business goals
  • Inject creativity, innovation and social media best practices into all client work
  • Serve as an integral member of client consulting teams, integrating social media strategy with public relations, web design, content development, and events
  • Lead and manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities, including online advocacy, copy-writing, post scheduling, and engagement
  • Oversee and develop social ad campaigns
  • Oversee the work of social media coordinators and interns to schedule posts, engage real-time, and monitor performance
  • Monitor analytics and benchmarks to measure the impact of social media programs
  • Review and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results
  • Regularly report insights gained from social media monitoring to assist in evolving client strategies in a timely fashion
  • Work collaboratively with client account managers on strategies and plans and with designers on execution
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications and encourage innovation across consulting team
  • Together with account managers, monitor the client business environment, be aware of market changes and developments, and incorporate as needed into social plans and strategies


  • 3 to 5 years hands-on experience in marketing and business strategy/planning with a focus on digital and social media
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Clubhouse, Snapchat, etc.), their respective participants, and how best to deploy them to meet client objectives
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilize social media best practices to optimize content publishing spend and maximize key audience engagement
  • Strong analytical skills with track record of using social media tools and reporting to help inform decision-making
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating social media using industry standard tools to identify areas for improvement and report on key performance indicators and return on investment
  • Experience in building effective social advertising campaigns
  • Working knowledge of principles of digital marketing including SEO and SEM
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate, ideate, and inject creativity in all aspects of work
  • Strong project management or organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high-level of independence
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships
  • Team player, with the confidence to take the lead when necessary
