Last Minute Halloween Costumes

Uh oh…it’s October 29th and you still don’t have a costume for this weekend. But don’t worry! Before you panic, we’ve got some last minute Halloween costume ideas for you. These ideas use items that you probably already have in your closet or items you can find at your local drugstore! Word of advice, if you’re in a crunch for a costume, and are willingly to spend a few bucks, don’t sleep on your nearest CVS or Walgreens. They often have little knick-knacks that can complete your costume. Cat ears, a tail, a witch’s hat, and even wigs are available at these drugstores. Stop by and see how creative you can get with your last minute halloween costume.

And if you have a little more time on your hand, you can visit a Spirit Halloween pop-up or a Party City. While some of their costumes can get costly, they generally have plenty of inexpensive accessories that will truly elevate your costume and bring your look together.

Ghost

It doesn’t get much easier than this folks. Throw an old sheet over your head, trim the bottom, cut out some eye holes, and your good to go! And if you have the energy to add accessories, wear sunglasses as a reference to the TikTok ‘Ghost Photoshoot’ trend. How’s that for a last minute Halloween costume?

Cat, Witch, or Fallen Angel

These three options are quite the Halloween classics! And they all involve simply sprucing up an all-black outfit. Rummage through your closet to pick out your black pieces, then add on your accessories. Whether it be some kitten ears and a tail, a witches hat and a broom, or a pair of black wings, you’ll be sure to look like you put more thought into your costume than you probably did.

Another all black outfit – but this time it really is an ALL black outfit – like head-to-toe all black outfit (and really, it even goes beyond the toes!) Not only is this costume relevant in pop culture at the moment, but it’s also sure to garner a few laughs. Just be sure that any material you put over your head is see-through – We don’t need anyone running into doors and tables. On second thought, maybe just take off your face covering after the photos. You’ll probably save a lot of unnecessary bruises that way.

James Bond

With the latest Bond movie No Time to Die having just hit theaters, there’s no better time to be the fearless – and seemingly bulletproof – Mr. Bond. Simply put on your sleekest suit and ask for your martini shaken, not stirred. And boom, just like that, you are now Bond…James Bond.

Tinkerbell

If you happen to have a green dress hanging in your closet, then you also happen to have the makings of a great halloween costume. Put your hair up in a bun, find some wings and a wand like these from Party City and you’ll be casting spells in no time.

Shaggy

A character from one of the most beloved and widely known cartoon series, Shaggy is a great, easy last minute Halloween costume to put together this weekend. Grab a green shirt and a pair of brown pants or khakis, and you’re ready to go! And if you can get your hands on a stuffed dog that resembles Scooby Doo, even better! Carry it around with you, and use Shaggy’s catchphrase “Zoinks!” throughout the night so people know exactly who you are!

Risky Business

Throw back time! Grab your favorite pair of sunglasses, high white socks, and a white button-down shirt. Then you can slide on into your Halloween party.

Whether you’re staying in this weekend (click here to read about the best ‘stay-at-home-Halloween’ activities) or going out with friends, these last minute Halloween costumes are sure to make the night much more fun!
