Hoping to learn all about what PRSA Dallas has to offer? What about how to nail your virtual job or internship interview?
SMU PRSSA is pleased to welcome this Wednesday’s guest speaker, Jeffery Cheatham. All those interested in hearing about PRSA Dallas and the extensive opportunities associated are welcome and encouraged to attend.
This Friday, PRSSA will also host fellow SMU alumna, Jenni Steck, who will share valuable tips on virtual interviewing.
This Wednesday, October 14 at 5 pm, the SMU PRSSA chapter hosts Cheatham of PRSA Dallas, and Steck will speak Thursday, October 15 at 6 pm.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn and ask any questions they may have about PRSA Dallas and how to become involved. Along with that, those in attendance will have the chance to take part in a media pitch workshop with Cheatham.
Friday’s event will present the opportunity to learn more about effective professional communication skills, as Steck is a licensed speech-language pathologist.
Cheatham is SMU’s University Relations Liaison for the PRSA Dallas Chapter. He’s also an Account Supervisor in the PR Department at HCK2 Partners, a full-service marketing and communications agency.
He’s spent the past 15+ years as a Public Relations Executive and has worked in NASCAR, represented the City of Dallas and once served at the Director of Communications for an energy drink start-up company that almost made him an overnight millionaire.

Through her private practice, Jenni trains employees of Dallas-based companies to
recognize the importance of professional communication, prioritize high levels of
customer care and works one-on-one with individuals that wish to speak with greater
confidence and clarity.
She also assists clients in the preparation of speeches for
public appearances, having recently had the honor of helping legendary NFL
linebacker Ray Lewis write and prepare the delivery of his Hall of Fame Induction
Additionally, Jenni holds a BFA from Southern Methodist University, an MFA from the University of
California at San Diego, and an MS from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is a
licensed speech-language pathologist certified by the American Speech-LanguageHearing Association and the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has served as a faculty associate at UT Southwestern’s Clinical Center for Voice Care.
