Networking Tips

  1. Networking is an important part of business- not just for job search but for one’s career and industry.
  2. For attending events, it helps to have a networking buddy to eliminate some of the nerves. However, don’t let that stop you from showing up. You never know who might be there!
  3. Whether you are an intern, employed, or in transition, a personal business card is a must.  Vistaprint, an online printing company, has very reasonable rates and a wide selection.
  4. Have a personal goal! For example, tell yourself “I will meet at least 2 people.”
  5. Have fun!
