Searching for jobs can be tough. You can find them on the company’s website, but what about companies you are not familiar with? It can be hard to find new companies and open positions in your industry.

To help you through the process of finding a job or internship, we rounded up a master list of where to find openings online.

CCPA Blog

jobs

The blog your reading right now shares openings throughout the semester! Every time a company reaches out to CCPA about a new opening, we share those openings with students. Make sure you are subscribed to the CCPA blog so that you never miss a new job post.

Handshake

The SMU Hegi Career Center has its own website platform for job postings. This website shares jobs, mainly across DFW, that are great entry-level and internship positions. You can log in to this site using your SMU ID number and password.

website to search for jobs

Indeed

Indeed is similar to Handshake, but has options that expand outside of SMU connections. You can create a free account and narrow your search by industry, location, type of job, and by company.

PRSA Jobcenter

If you are a member of PRSSA or PRSA, you have free access to all of these communication jobs posted on the PRSA website.

PRSSA Internship Center

The PRSSA website posts internships related to communication and public relations across the country. This is a great resource that is free to all PRSSA members!

LinkedIn

Did you know you can search for jobs on LinkedIn? You can search by titles or location. You can also create saved searches based on an industry or location. These saved searches can be emailed to you weekly with new postings based on your profile settings. LinkedIn is a great place to search for jobs because you can see mutual connections that also work or worked there. You can also see the number of alumni that have worked there and visit their profiles.
